This Mango inlaid art piece was made with Hawaiian Mango, Koa, with a Toon wood frame. By altering the grain direction of the elements and charring selected edges of the coffee bean inlays, the illusion of depth is achieved. The wood is laminated into a light curve inside the shadowbox, allowing the chatoyant grain reflections to shimmer, and this particular piece has ‘curiosities’ built into the piece that makes it interesting, a bit different, and worked by human hands with a bit of humor that Waldo can tell you about. See the video of the build below. Will hang on a wall vertically or horizontally.
Size – 34″ x 84″ x 3,.5″ deep.
