A commisioned side table inspired by a large, imposing and slightly pissed-off parrot. The ribbon disappears into the column, and reappears inside the drawer. The top appears to be barely held by the offset ‘perched’ column, yet strong enough to bear weight. The Cuban mahogany was urbanfall lumber from Oahu, Hawaii. The Opal in the eye reflects with a glint, which eerily follows you as you move.….
Wood: Cuban Mahogany, Koa, Laurel burl, and various tropical or dyed veneers
Finish: Tung oil / urethane
